1. Know the Date and Location

Making the most of a sample sale starts with knowing where to be and when to be there! Getting there on time, and getting early stock can be the key to success, or going more than once during a multi-day sale as new stock is put out.

• - Follow the sale event online. Keeps you up to date with location, time, or any changes! You can find our event here.
• - Find the address ahead of time. If you're driving, make sure you know where to park, and if you're taking transit it helps to know where you're going ahead of time, and helps you avoid busy traffic times.

2. Know Your Size

Knowing your size is the first and perhaps most crucial step to ensuring a smooth shopping experience at any sample sale. Unlike traditional stores, sample sales often have limited sizes available, and trying on multiple pairs in a crowded space can be tricky.

• - Check your measurements ahead of time. Different brands may have slight variations in sizing, so make sure you know your size range. If you’re familiar with the brand’s fit, even better—you’ll be able to head straight for your perfect size!
• - Keep in mind the shoe style. Boots, sandals, and heels may feel different even in the same size. So, if you’re looking for a specific type of shoe, think about how that style usually fits you.

3. Familiarize Yourself with Our Brands

Before the sale begins, do a bit of research on the brands featured in the sample sale.

• - Check out our website or social media. Familiarizing yourself with the styles, pricing, and collections ahead of time will give you an idea of what you might find at the sale and you’ll have a better idea of what great deals you’re getting!
• - Understand the brand’s aesthetic. Each brand has its own signature look. If you know what you like, you'll be able to zoom in on the pieces that best fit your style.

4. Know What You Need

Know what you need before you go, having your needs in mind keeps you focused.

• - The replacement pairs. If you have an old pair of ankle boots that just need to be replaced, make that the focus of your hunt.
• - Is something missing from your closet? Loafers have been huge the last few seasons, if you don't have anything that category– now is the time! Sample sales are a great opportunity to fill closet gaps in trending styles. 

5. Wear the Right Socks and Shoes

It’s important to dress smartly for a sample sale, especially when it comes to your footwear. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

• - Wear shoes that are easy to take on and off. You might be trying on multiple pairs of shoes, so avoid complicated boots or shoes with lots of laces.
• - Bring the right socks. If you’re trying on boots or sneakers, bring thin or thick socks depending on the type of shoe. Having the correct socks ensures that the shoes fit comfortably when you get them home.
•  - Dress comfortably. You might be standing in line or walking around for a while, so make sure you're dressed for comfort and efficiency.

6. Bring a Friend

Shopping with a friend has its perks, especially during sample sales!

• - An extra pair of hands and eyes. While you browse one section, your friend can scope out another, increasing your chances of finding the best deals.
• - Honest opinions. A trusted friend can give you an honest opinion about fit, style, and comfort. Sample sales are fast-paced, and having someone to quickly consult with can help you make the best choices!
